chris banks: a brief description
After studying a confused selection of A levels (art/law/physics/IT) I found
something that sat somewhere between art and science which we call graphic
design. I studied at the University of Hertfordshire where I got a First in graphic
design, a YCN commendation, membership to ISTD and some bizarre and
extraordinary tales from a two month study-abroad trip to Moscow. When I
left University I was lucky enough to intern at some great studios including
Hattrick, Blast, The Team, The Partners and Fresh Lemon. Despite the path
set by my studio internships I opted for a more curiously intriguing role in
the world of fashion as the graphic designer for womenswear brand Karen
Millen. My job role, which is open to interpretation, includes print design,
web design, the occasional art direction of a photo shoot and any
other creative output that isn’t a garment or accessory.
